One of the most memorable co-curricular experiences that PFS offers, this trip is scheduled during the week leading up to Memorial Day weekend and brings our entire first through eighth grade student body, their parents/caregivers and siblings, and Princeton Friends faculty and staff members together for three days of camping in tents and cabins, hiking, swimming, canoeing, rock-climbing, singing, playing, and living in community.

Whether it’s sleeping in a tent under the stars for the first time, soaring on a zipline, paddling on the lake, or taking a quiet moment on the lawn, Blairstown invites students to stretch, reflect, and grow in unexpected ways.

There’s a familiar rhythm to the trip—shared meals, evening campfires, songs, and moments of reflection during daily Settling In and sharing Memories of the Year—that becomes a meaningful part of each student’s journey at Princeton Friends. It’s a time to pause, celebrate the year behind us, and strengthen the connections that make our community so unique.

Much more than a camping trip, Blairstown is a living expression of our values: joyful learning, courage, cooperation, and stewardship of the natural world. It’s an experience students, families, and faculty look forward to year after year—and one they remember long after graduation.
