PFS students love to ask questions:

“Why did this happen?” “What does that mean?” How is mechanical energy transferred from a rider to a bike through the pedals?” Pretty much any question except “Will it be on the test?” That’s because questions are the intellectual currency here, and lightbulbs, not grades, are the payoff. With our time-tested and research-based progressive educational model, our experienced faculty let curiosity take the lead. They delight in guiding each child to inquire freely and then synthesize, analyze, imagine, create, meet challenges, and navigate multiple perspectives, complex answers, and more questions.

Learning, like life, is often experiential, usually interdisciplinary, and always changing. Fostered early, curiosity yields a lasting legacy: a love for school and a joy in learning. Students’ wheels keep turning from preschool through eighth grade and beyond, preparing them to tackle all the questions life holds.

We Redefine Rigor

We embrace the kind of academic excellence that moves beyond outdated notions of rigor rooted in stress and pressure. Instead, we define excellence through curiosity, creativity, reflective thinking, and meaningful growth. With support and challenge that meet each child where they are, our students embrace learning joyfully, building the skills and confidence to thrive—not just in school, but in life.
